Becca and Dan are two of the most loving people I’ve ever met and I’m pretty sure all their family and friends would say the exact same thing. When I first met up with these two for their engagement session late last year, Becca was super nervous about the session. It didn’t take long for her to warm up to the camera though and in a few short minutes of being together it became evident that these two were made for each other. It was an odd winter day where we had snow on the ground (hello snowball fight!) but it was also an unusually warm evening (hello no coats!) Jump forward 6 months and there they were standing at the alter saying their I dos. I was touched by how involved each of their families were in the ceremony and celebration of the day. It warms my heart to see such love between families and it added to the gorgeousness of their wedding day.
This post comes bitter sweet though as Dan’s mom recently passed away unexpectedly. It is things like this that really hit home to why I love what I do. Being able to capture beautiful and wonderous stories of people’s lives, and the people who are so important to them, is one of the most inspiring and energizing things I’m a part of. So, as I sit here typing with teary eyes, we remember the joyful and happy day Becca and Dan had along with the beautiful and wonderful person that Dan’s mom was and all the people she loved and impacted here on earth. You are loved and missed Mrs. Lebo.
