“Every child born into the world is a new thought of God, an ever fresh and radiant possibility.” Kate Douglas Wiggin
If there is one thing that makes me love what I do, it’s a smiley newborn. I had the joy of having Myla and her wonderful parents in the studio back in April. We all had such a wonderful time together, including Myla…she was all smiles the entire session. I have never seen a newborn smile as much as she did. She made it super easy for me to capture and gave a little smiley smirk in just about every set-up we did with her. It was absolutly darling.
It’s always humbling for me, as a newborn photographer, to capture these new little lives at their very beginning, knowing that there is a plan ahead for them, and that they will make an impact in this world some day. Even at just a few weeks old, I could tell that this little lady is filled with so much joy and feel that somehow that will stick with her through life.
I first met Shae and Rene when I photographed Rene’s brother’s wedding two years ago and have absolutely adored working with the Mathis family. I couldn’t contain my excitement Shae adn Rene contacted me to do a newborn session for them. These two exude so much happiness it’s contagious and you can clearly see that happiness was passed on to their sweet little girl.
Can you handle that smile?…Because I cannot!
I always wonder what babies dream about. I won’t lie, I was a little jealous of Myla in her warm, wooly bed. Love this cozy sleeper!
There is something so pretty about a little girl in blue. :)
I have the privilege of creating a space where new parents can sit back, take a deep breath, and realize the beauty of what they have created because of their love for each other. I felt this so strongly with Shae and Rene that day. Little Myla is one lucky girl. Happy almost 3 months Myla! Keep on smiling little one…
