Miss Emma’s Newborn Session

It was really special for me to photograph Miss Emma’s newborn session! Her parents are dear friends of my little family and also fellow photographers! I will never forget the day I found out they were pregnant. They were over for dinner one night and when I ran to get something form the kitchen Brittney whispered to my son to tell me something. When I came out he ran up to me and squealed “Brittney is having a baby!” It took me a moment to figure out what he said and then I think I squealed like my 3 year old does when he’s excited. I had been waiting for this day!! Now I had to wait 9 months to meet her beautiful face.
Wouldn’t you know she has the most beautiful tint of red hair. Gah!! She is perfect and my heart was so very full by the end of the session. There is nothing like spending time with dear friends and snuggling with this pretty little girl. It is an honor and privilege to document these early days of life. They will never ever be this small again and I get to document this treasured stage for families to hold onto forever. It really is one of the best jobs ever :)
