I think one of the most favorite parts of Henry’s Lancaster newborn session was photographing him with his big sister Emerson. Mama really wanted to make sure we captured some sweet moments with her two babies together. When we started brainstorming it was apparent that Emerson was so so excited for her big sister role. I knew Emerson was going to be a natural for the camera after getting to know her from some past holiday mini sessions she came to. I loved watching her gentle touches and affection with her sweet baby brother.

The sibling bond between Emerson and Henry was fresh and new but oh so special. I mean, think about it: These two will always have each other to call “home”. Can you get the feeling of safety, belonging and “home” when you see these two together? It was so new, but it was sacred and full. The studio was just rich with it as Emerson loved on her brother. They will be each others best thing as they grow up together.
I love working with natural tones, especially with this shoot. They’re a terrific compliment to what’s going on. You know… the joy, purity, the perfection of every bit of Henry, of he and his sister together. It came through clearly to be revisited and remembered forever. What a happy beginning they are having together as we all can see and feel by looking at these images. They chose to keep this moment frozen in time. Aren’t they clever? What a precious, darling family.
Just look at how adoring Emerson is with her baby brother! She just couldn’t get enough snuggles and kisses.
