Liz is a single woman who always had adoption on her heart. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would end up pursuing an international adoption from Russia. Thankfully God had that figured out :) She told me that she finally felt the prompting of the Lord to start the adoption process and quickly started checking out all the options she would qualify for. Some doors closed, others did not feel right, then one day she read about Russia and something clicked in her spirit. It took over a year and a half, three trips to Russia, miles of paperwork and lots of hoops to jump through but finally Gabriella came home and its been a perfect match ever since :)

Going through the international adoption process myself, I can’t imagine doing it as a single person. All that paperwork and traveling alone certainly gives props to the amazing and strong woman that Liz truly is. I loved watching the two interact and it was clear that they have a unique and special bond with each other. Gabriella has such a fun and energetic personality. She didn’t want to have anything to do with the camera, but instead wanted to be twirled, watch the ducks or play at the playground! She is so carefree and has no worries. It was such a treat for me to spend some time with these two and it certainly encouraged me in my own adoption journey as they are such a testament to God’s hand and provision in our lives.
